ATHENS, W.Va. – Shepherd University (4-8) used a 13-hit attack in the nightcap to gain a split with Concord (4-6) in baseball doubleheader action at Concord on Saturday. The Rams posted a 7-1 triumph in the nightcap after dropping a 4-2 decision in game one.
The Rams took a 1-0 lead in the first inning in the nightcap on an RBI-single by redshirt freshman outfielder

The Rams added a run in the fourth on an RBI-single by sophomore infielder
Nathaniel Brookshire (Winchester, Va./Millbrook).
The Mountain Lions go on the board in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI-single by Nick DeSanti.

Thor Hildebrand (Glen Burnie, Md./North County) belted a solo blast in the fifth to up the lead to 3-1.
The Rams added a pair of runs in the sixth on a solo homer by sophomore outfielder
Jake Fix (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) and an RBI-single by junior outfielder
Nik Rubendall (East Norriton, Pa./Pope John Paul II).
Rubendall added a two-run single in the seventh to complete the scoring.
Hildebrand and Fix each went 3-for-3 to lead the Rams. Junior outfielder
Bodie Pullen (Winchester, Va./James Wood), Ahart, and Rubendall each added a pair of hits.
DeSanti had a pair of hits to pace the Mountain Lions.

Allen Miller (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) (3.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 K, 1 BB) (1-0) picked up the win. Demario Faison (4.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 6 K, 2 BB) (0-1) took the loss for Concord.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the first inning in game one as Pullen reached on an error and scored when Ahart hit into a fielder's choice.
The Mountain Lions took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first on a two-run homer by Kaden Swaim.
Shepherd tied the game in the third on a solo blast by Rubendall.
Concord retook the lead in the third on an RBI-single by Korbin Bostic.
Concord added a run in the fifth as Demetri Jamison singled and later scored when Swaim grounded into a double play.
Zach Powell (6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 6 K, 2 BB) (1-2) earned the win. Logan Darrow (1.0 IP 0 H, 0 R, 0 K, 1 BB) picked up the save. Redshirt senior pitcher
