Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls at #13 Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Sam Graf scored seven goals to lead #13 Kutztown (9-4, 6-2 PSAC East) to an 18-6 win over Shepherd (4-8, 1-7 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at Kutztown on Wednesday.

Sophomore midfielder Aubrey Harrison (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior) tallied three goals and an assist while senior attacker Katie Paredes (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) added three goals. Paredes also posted a team-high five draw controls.

Senior defender Sydney Witmer (Damascus, Md./Damascus) paced the Shepherd defense with three ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
Maddie Wagner added four goals, while Lauren Lamorte and Lailah ElBouazzaoui each contributed a pair for the Golden Bears.

Graf had four first half goals to lead Kutztown to a 7-3 advantage at halftime.

Junior goalkeeper Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) recorded five saves for the Rams. Marissa Bragg posted five saves for the Golden Bears.

Kutztown had a 34-19 advantage in shots and a 23-11 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 10-of-17 in clears and Kutztown was 16-of-21. The Golden Bears had a 22-16 advantage in ground balls and a 15-12 edge in draw controls.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Millersville for a 3 p.m. contest.
