Shepherd took a 1-0 lead into the break when senior midfielder
Josie Beezel (Woodsboro, Md./Linganore) scored on a feed from sophomore forward
Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) at the 38:02 mark.
The Rams added a second-half tally when midfielder
Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) found the back of the net off a pass from junior midfielder
Annabelle Wunderlich (Red Lion, Pa./Dallastown Area) at the 64:43 mark.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) had one save in a shutout effort for the Rams. Morgan O'Donnell had seven saves for the Golden Bears.
Shepherd had an 11-7 advantage in shots with a 5-2 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Mansfield for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
