Shepherd Volleyball Falls at Gannon

ERIE, Pa. – Shepherd University (9-3) dropped a 25-21, 25-23, 25-19 decision to Gannon (8-4) in volleyball action at Gannon on Friday evening. 

Junior outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson),  freshman outside hitter Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) and junior middle hitter/right side Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) each recorded eight kills to lead the Rams. 

Junior middle hitter Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md. Bohemia Manor) led Shepherd with six blocks and Ryan added four. Senior libero/defensive specialist Madigan Faircloth (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman/Liberty) recorded eight digs and a pair of aces. Senior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) recorded 26 assists and four digs.

Bengisu Arslan had a match-high 38 assists, and Alexis Fowler had a match-high 13 digs to lead Gannon. 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Edinboro for a 5 p.m. contest.
