Shepherd University (10-3) handed Edinboro (5-5) a 21-25, 25-19, 25-19,11-25, 16-14 setback in volleyball action at Edinboro on Saturday evening.
Junior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) recorded 15 kills and four blocks to lead the Rams. Freshman right side
Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) added 13 kills, while Junior outside hitter
Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) had 12.
Junior middle hitter
Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md. Bohemia Manor) contributed five kills and four blocks for the Rams, while freshman outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) had 10 kills, 10 digs, and three blocks.
Senior libero/defensive specialist
Madigan Faircloth (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman/Liberty) recorded a match-high 23 digs and three aces. Senior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 44 assists and seven digs.
Makayla Neeglands had 21 kills and Maggie Koster contributed six blocks to lead Edinboro.
The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Shippensburg for a 6 p.m. contest.
