#24 Shepherd Women’s Soccer Battles to 2-2 Tie with #21 Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – #24 Shepherd University (3-0-3, 2-0-3 PSAC East) battled to a 2-2 tie with #21 Bloomsburg (5-1-2, 2-1-2 PSAC East) in women's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Saturday evening.

Sophomore midfielder Anaya Lozano (Chesapeake, Va./Atlantic Shores Christian School) scored on a pass from senior forward Lydia Gable (Felton, Pa./Kennard Dale) at the 13:05 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 lead at the break.

Bloomsburg tied the game when Haley Bull scored on an assist from Viktorya Lukenbach at the 48:00 mark.

The Rams took a 2-1 advantage when junior midfielder Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) scored on a pass from sophomore forward Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park/Toledo) at the 72:23 mark.

Lukenbach scored an unassisted goal at the 86:30 mark to tie the game.

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Wilt (Saint Leonard, Md./Calvert) did not record a save for the Rams. Samantha Merklin had eight saves for the Huskies.

Shepherd had a 23-7 advantage in shots and a 10-2 edge in shots on goal. The Rams had a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Millersville for a 1 p.m. contest.
