Shepherd University (10-4, 0-1 PSAC East) dropped a four-set match to Shippensburg (8-6, 1-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Tuesday night. The Raiders posted a 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23 win.
Junior outside hitter
Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) led the Rams with 14 kills and nine digs. Freshman right side hitter
Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) added 13 kills with a .367 attack percentage.
Junior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) had six kills and a team-best four blocks, while freshman outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) had eight kills and eight digs.
Senior libero/defensive specialist
Madigan Faircloth (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman/Liberty) recorded a match-high 18 digs and a pair of aces. Senior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 41 assists, six digs, and three blocks.
Gracen Nutt had a match-high 15 kills to lead the Raiders. Elise Bragg had 11 kills, while Kearstin Davis had 36 assists and 16 digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Bloomsburg for a 6 p.m. match.
