SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Jenadia Jordan scored a game-high 20 points to lead Lock Haven (7-5, 3-3) to a 58-49 win over Shepherd (2-9, 0-7) in PSAC women's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Wednesday.
Sophomore forward Lamaria Estridge (Walkersville, Md./St. Andrew's Episcopal) led the Rams with 16 points. Estridge connected on 6-of-16 shots from the floor with a 1-of-3 effort from beyond the arc. She was 3-of-5 from the foul line. Estridge added a team-high eight rebounds and a pair of steals.
Junior guard Grace Middleton (Leesburg, Va./Tuscarora/Frostburg State) added eight points and three rebounds. Junior forward Jenna Liska (Eldersburg, Md. Liberty/Frostburg State) contributed eight points and grabbed six boards.
Madeline Evans added 16 points and a game-high 19 rebounds for the Bald Eagles. Alana Robinson had 10 points and six rebounds.
Shepherd connected on 35.2 percent (19-54) of its field goals with a 28.6 percent effort (4-14) from three-point range. The Rams hit 77.8 percent (7-9) of their free throws.
Lock Haven had a 35.2 percent (19-54) field goal percentage with a 14.3 percent (2-14) effort from beyond the arc for the game. The Mountain Cats hit 56.3 percent (18-32) from the foul line.
Lock Haven had a 47-31 advantage on the boards. The Rams forced 23 turnovers and committed 24.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. contest.
