Bob Meals Named Shepherd Head Women’s Soccer Coach

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University Director of Athletics Carrie Bodkins announced today that Bob Meals has been named head women's soccer coach for the Rams.

Meals comes to Shepherd after serving as the interim head coach of the women's program at American International College in 2025. He served as an assistant at Fitchburg State University in the early part of the 2025 season.

He previously served as a longtime assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Massachusetts Boston from 2018-25. He assisted with the planning, management, and coordination of all aspects of the program to ensure smooth operations and strategic success.

Meals also had a stint as the head women's soccer coach at Eastern Nazarene from 2016-17.

Additionally, Meals has an extensive coaching background in club soccer. He served as the National Premier League (NPL) Director for Scorpions Soccer Club. He served as the head coach for the 00/99 NPL and 02 NPL teams. He also did skills training for the U13 to U19 Elite Club National League (ECNL) players.

Meals holds a bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State University in 2001 and gained a master's degree from Southern New Hampshire University in 2022.

He currently holds his NSCAA National Diploma (Distinction), Advance National Diploma, and USSF "D" National License.
