#11 West Chester Tops Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse

WEST CHESTER, Pa. –  Kendall Fortune had five goals and four assists to lead #11 West Chester (12-2, 8-1 PSAC East) to a 23-3 win over Shepherd (2-10, 1-7 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at West Chester on Wednesday.

Freshman attacker Hadley Robertson (New Market, Md./Linganore) led the Rams with two goals and an assist. She also topped the team with four draw controls.

Senior attacker Rebekah Forney (Adamstown, Md./Mount De Sales) added a goal, while junior midfielder Aubrey Harrison (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior) and sophomore midfielder Britney Warner (Hughesville, Md./La Plata) each added an assist.      
                                                                                     
Junior defender Luetta Seipp (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) recorded three ground balls and two caused turnovers to lead the Shepherd defensive effort.  
                                                                                               
Marissa Herring added four goals for the Golden Rams, while Audrey Miller netted three.

Freshman netminder Bailey Terry (Rockville, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) (35:31, 13 GA, 4 saves) and senior goalkeeper Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) (24:29, 10 GA, 5 saves) combined for nine saves for the Rams. Morgan Koons had two saves for the Golden Rams.

The Golden Rams had a 37-7 advantage in shots and a 32-5 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 9-of-17 in clears while West Chester was 15-of-15. West Chester had a 20-9 advantage in ground balls and a 17-10 edge in draw controls.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg for a 1 p.m. contest
