GREENSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (0-0-1) and Seton Hill (1-0-1) battled to a 1-1 tie in men's soccer action at Seton Hill on Sunday afternoon.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead when freshman forward
Moulay El Yagouti (Falls Church, Va./George C. Marshall) scored on a header off a corner kick from senior midfielder
Josue Guzman (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) at the 51:20 mark.
The Griffins tied the game when Felix Knorn scored on a corner kick from Raefael Santos at the 58:54 mark.
Junior goalkeeper
Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Jannik Reiss posted three saves for the Griffins.
Seton Hill had an 18-11 advantage in shots with an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. The Griffins had a 5-4 margin in shots on goal.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 4 p.m. match.
