EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Shepherd University battled East Stroudsburg to a 1-1 draw in PSAC East men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the 64th minute when junior forward
Harry Booth (Dubai, United Arab Emirates/GEMS Wellington Silicon Oasis/St. Bonaventure) found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore midfielder
Rylan Hertzog (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor).
The Warriors responded with less than 10 minutes remaining when Ryan Kiernan scored off an assist from Jace Seara to even the match.
Shepherd goalkeeper
Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded six saves for the Rams. Phil Sykes had two saves for the Warriors.
East Stroudsburg had an 18-15 edge in shots with a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal. Shepherd had a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Shippensburg in a PSAC East matchup at 3:30 pm.
