SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Shepherd University volleyball team (10-1, 1-0 PSAC East) recorded a 27-29, 25-9, 25-10, 25-17 victory over Millersville (2-6, 0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East Volleyball action at Millersville on Friday night.
Sophomore outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) had 21 kills and four aces to pace the Rams. Senior outside hitter
Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) and senior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) each added 10 kills.
Junior setter
Maggie Smith (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland/Loyola) contributed 48 assists and 15 digs, while freshman libero/defensive specialist
Alexa Smith (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) had 19 digs.
Marissa Storti had 12 kills and eight digs for the Marauders.
Shepherd return to action on Saturday when they travel to face Shippensburg for a 7 p.m. match.
