BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (4-1-3, 1-1-2 PSAC East) battled to a 2-2 tie with Bloomsburg (4-3-2, 0-2-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Bloomsburg on Wednesday night.
Freshman forward
Moulay El Yagouti (Falls Church, Va./George C. Marshall) scored an unassisted goal at the 18:41 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 lead at the break.
Bloomsburg tied the game when Owen Hollobaugh scored on a feed from Caleb Sitler at the 60:33 mark.
Shepherd took a 2-1 advantage when freshman midfielder/forward
Reyes Torres (Herndon, Va./Westfield) scored on a pass from senior midfielder
Josue Guzman (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) at the 83:53 mark.
The Huskies earned the tie when Andrew Beagle scored on an assist from Alexander Hess at the 89:52 mark.
Junior goalkeeper
Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded seven saves for the Rams. Drew Offenberg posted a pair of saves for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg had a 20-10 advantage in shots and a 9-4 edge in shots on goal. Corner kicks were even at five apiece.
The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to West Chester for a 2 p.m. match.
