MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- Shepherd University (7-1-0, 6-1-0 PSAC East) scored on an own goal at the 41:09 mark to gain a 1-0 win over Millersville (5-2-1, 4-2-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action at Millersville on Wednesday evening.
Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Alex Stuart (New Market, Md./Linganore/Eastern Kentucky) recorded three saves in a shutout effort for the Rams. Megan Taltavull recorded six saves for the Marauders.
Shepherd had a 10-5 edge in shots with a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Rams had a 7-4 margin in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Mansfield for a 2 p.m. contest.
