BELLE VERNON, Pa. –The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a 614 to rank 10th in a 14-team field after completing play at the Vulcan Invitational on Friday. Host California carded a 567 to take the men's team title. The Shepherd women fired a 718 to place 11th in an 18-team field in a rain-shortened Vulcan Invitational on Friday. West Chester carded a 611 to take the women's team title.
 
Redshirt sophomore Killian Donnelly (Palmyra, Va./Palmyra) led the men as he fired a 148 to tie for 19th place. He was followed by freshman Tyler Beard (Beaver, W.Va./Shady Spring) (149, T-25th), junior Ben Heidrick (Rosedale, Md./Calvert Hall) (158, T-60th), freshman Luke Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (159, 65th), freshman Brady Reed (Kearneysville, W.Va./Washington) (160, 66th), and junior Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (165, 77th).
 
Sophomore Natalee Johnson (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) fired a 171 to tie for 32nd place to lead the women. She was followed by junior Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (177, T-48th), freshman Ella Mochoruk (Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) (179, T-54th), sophomore Addison Buckland (New Market, Md./Urbana) (191, T-64th), and junior Allison Wallace (Kearneysville, W.Va./Homeschooled) (216, 81st).

The men return to action on Sept. 12 when they travel to the Bloomsburg Invite, while the women return to action on September 23 when they travel to the Thomas Jefferson Fall Invitational.
