SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University (8-0) handed West Liberty (1-8) a 25-18, 25-20, 25-23 setback in volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Tuesday night. The Rams rallied from a 23-18 deficit in the third set with seven straight points in the third set to record the sweep.

Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) had 13 kills
and sophomore outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) added 12 to pace the Rams. Senior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) added seven kills, and sophomore right side
Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) had six.
Junior setter
Maggie Smith (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland/Loyola) contributed 33 assists and six digs. Freshman libero/defensive specialist
Alexa Smith (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville), freshman outside hitter defensive specialist
Vitoria Villa (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg), and Davis each recorded eight digs.
Sidney Keni had 10 kills to lead the Hilltoppers. Amira DuPree added six kills and five digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host IUP at 1 p.m. and Pitt Johnstown at 5 p.m.
