SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University earned a 3-0 win over Shippensburg in volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Tuesday night for its third consecutive victory. The Rams gained a 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 victory.
Senior opposite/outside hitter
Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South) had 13 kills and five digs to lead the Rams. Senior middle hitter
Kayla Motheral (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) had eight kills, while freshman opposite
Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino) added seven.

Katie Beecher (Concord, NC./Concord/Liberty) added 10 kills.
Junior outside hitter/libero
Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) contributed 22 digs, while senior setter
Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) had 37 assists.
Courtney Malott had eight kills and Laura Plank had 13 digs to lead Shippensburg.
Shepherd improves to 7-4, while Shippensburg falls to 6-7. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Bowie State for a 7 p.m. match.
