WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- Shepherd University (26-4, 14-4 PSAC ) recorded a 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-23, 24-26, 15-11) win over West Chester (17-14, 5-13 PSAC) in PSAC volleyball action at West Chester on Friday night.
Senior outside hitter Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) had a match-high 20 kills with a .333 attack percentage to lead the Rams. She added eight digs and a match-high seven aces.
Freshman outside hitter Kiara Rakestraw (Uhrichville, Ohio/Indian Valley) posted 14 kills, 13 digs, and five blocks, while freshman middle blocker Elyssia Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Colonial Forge) added 11 kills and five blocks.
Junior setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) had 46 assists, 13 digs and three aces. Senior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) recorded a match-high 25 digs
Julia Vreeswyk had 15 kills and Rachel Robb added 10 to lead the Golden Rams. Emily Ahern posted 49 assists and 11 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Millersville for a 1 p.m. match.
