MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Fifth-seeded Shepherd University (27-5) shocked fourth-seeded Millersville (25-8) in PSAC volleyball action at Millersvillle on Tuesday night. The Rams posted a 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20) triumph.
Shepherd's senior duo of Cambriea Hill (Columbia, Md./Hammond) (22) and Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) (21) combined to record 43 kills to lead the Rams. Hill added 17 digs, while Lindblad posted eight blocks. Senior outside hitter Seone Goode (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) added eight kills with a team-best .348 attack percentage.
Sophomore middle hitter Georgia Ohmke (Falls Church, Va./Justice) added a match-high 10 blocks.
Junior setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) had 53 assists and 13 digs. Senior libero Imani Major (Gainesville, Va./Millbrook) recorded a match-high 22 digs.
Lindsey Blevins had 20 kills and Jayci Suseland added 11 to pace the Marauders. Katie Laughlin has 35 assists and 17 digs.
The Rams advance to travel to face top-seeded Gannon on Friday at a yet to be determined time in semifinal action of the PSAC Tournament.
