SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (13-4, 5-0 PSAC East) swept Millersville (8-10, 1-4 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action on Saturday at Shepherd. The Rams posted a 25-19, 25-16, 25-18 win for their fifth straight victory.
Sophomore middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) had 11 kills and six block assists to lead the Rams. Senior right side
Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) added nine kills and six blocks (one solo). Sophomore outside hitter
Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had seven kills and seven digs.
Junior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 30 assists and a pair of aces. Senior defensive specialist/libero
Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) had a match-high 19 digs.
Taylor Weltner and Emma Kerwin each had six kills for the Marauders. Emma Ludwig added nine digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Lock Haven for a 4 p.m. match.
