SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (16-4) posted a four-set win over Fairmont State (14-9) in non-conference volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Tuesday evening. The Rams recorded an 18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14 win for their eighth consecutive victory.
Senior right side
Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) led the Rams with 13 kills. Sophomore middle hitter
Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) added 11 kills, while sophomore outside hitter
Jordan Pryor (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had 10. Lenz added six block assists, Fairweather had five, and Pryor recorded 15 digs.
Junior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 38 assists and 17 digs. Senior defensive specialist/libero
Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) also added 17 digs.
Joey Borelle had 15 kills and 11 digs for the Fighting Falcons. Baylie Ostvig added 12 kills and Kelsie Dangerfield contributed 18 assists and 12 digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Shippensburg for a 7 p.m. match.
