Shepherd Men’s Soccer Falls at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Shepherd University (3-4-2, 1-3-0 PSAC East) dropped a 2-0 decision to West Chester (6-2-2, 3-1-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at West Chester on Saturday.

West Chester took a 1-0 lead at the 8:55 mark when Owen Slack scored on an assist by Peter Tichy.

The Golden Rams added a goal at the 30:43 mark when Tommy Bodenschatz scored on a penalty kick.

Freshman goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded six saves for the Rams. Jaden Howard recorded seven saves for the Golden Rams.

West Chester had an 18-12 advantage in shots with an 8-7 edge in shots on goal. The Golden Rams had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Millersville for a 4 p.m. contest.
