The Rams used a big inning and stellar pitching to pick up the win against Bentley.

Freshman pitcher Madelayne Ruffner (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) led off the third and reached on a walk and was replaced by senior pinch runner Katie Laing (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick). Junior shortstop Lexi Clatterbuck (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) followed with a single. The pair advanced on a sacrifice bunt by senior second baseman Caitlin Donnelly (Newark, Del./Padua Academy) and graduate student catcher Alex Mantz (Edinburg, Va./Central) followed with a three-run blast to left.

Ruffner gained the win (7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 11 K, 2 BB) to improve to 4-0. Taylor O'Brien (3.0 IP, 3 ER, 0 K, 3 BB) (0-2) took the loss for Bentley.

Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the fourth against Quincy as Donnelly led off with a single and was replaced by sophomore pinch-runner Sydney Martin-Gonciarz (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Morgan State). Mantz followed with a single to move Martin-Gonciarz to third. Martin-Gonciarz scored when freshman first baseman Brenna Collis (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) reached on a fielder's choice

The Rams added a pair of runs in the sixth behind a two-run single by freshman pinch-hitter Trynda Mantz (Edinburg, Va./Central).
