SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (9-4, 1-0 PSAC East) rallied from a 2-0 deficit to record an exciting five-set win over Shippensburg (3-9, 0-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action on Friday night at Shippensburg. The Rams recorded a 24-26, 23-25, 27-25, 25-19, 15-12 victory. The Rams posted their first win at Shippensburg since 2000.

Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) led the Rams with 20 kills and four blocks (one solo). Sophomore middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) added 13 kills and a match-high five block assists, while senior right side
Joi Fairweather (Tamarac, Fla./Calvary Christian Academy) recorded 12 kills and four block assists.

Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) contributed 54 assists and seven digs. Senior defensive specialist/libero
Harli Zeitz (Lake Worth, Fla./Somerset Academy Canyons) had a match-high 34 digs. Senior outside hitter
Sydney Babb (Germantown, Md./Northwest/Montgomery College) added nine kills and 19 digs, while senior libero/defensive specialist
Kierra Anderson (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) added 16 digs.
Emily Gardner had 15 kills and 18 digs to lead the Raiders. Isabelle Bombas added 14 kills, while Clara Wildermuth had 13. Kearstin Davis posted 60 assists and 18 digs.
Trailing 25-24 in the third set, Shepherd got consecutive kills from Ryan, Fairweather, and Babb to post a 27-25 win. The Rams used a .353 attack percentage in the fourth set and a .364 attack percentage in the deciding set en route to the win.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to East Stroudsburg for a 7 p.m. match.
