MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Shepherd University (4-6-0, 1-2-0 PSAC East) dropped a 2-1 decision to Millersville (5-3-2, 2-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at Millersville on Wednesday.
Millersville took a 1-0 lead at the 7:10 mark on a goal by Zander Leik assisted by Roy Parkyn.
Matias Schmidt scored on a penalty kick to give the Marauders a 2-0 advantage at the 78:50 mark.
Shepherd got on the board on an unassisted goal by sophomore forward Josh Petty (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll/Queens University of Charlotte) at the 86:58 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) posted three saves for the Rams. Gavin Massimi recorded four saves for the Marauders.
Millersville had a 12-10 advantage in shots, while shots on goal were even at 10 each. The Marauders had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to West Chester for a 1 p.m. match.
