SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (17-7, 6-4 PSAC East) fell to West Chester (17-6, 6-4 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday. The Golden Rams recorded a 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 26-24 win.
Freshman outside hitter Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) led the Rams with 14 kills. Junior middle hitter Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) and junior outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) each had 10 kills. Lenz added two blocks, while Davis added three aces.
Senior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 37 assists and five blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Gracie Zartman (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown/St. Mary's) recorded a match-high 16 digs.
Abiah Lane had 13 kills and three aces to lead West Chester. Elianna Freeman had 13 digs.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Bloomsburg for a 7 p.m. contest.
