SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –
Shepherd University (18-7, 7-4 PSAC East) swept Bloomsburg (8-17, 0-11 PSAC East) in PSAC East volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Friday evening. The Rams posted a 25-23, 25-15, 25-19 victory.
Junior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) led the Rams with a match-high 12 kills and a .632 attack percentage. Junior outside hitter
Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) added nine kills and a .348 attack percentage. Ryan also tied freshman outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) with a match-high four blocks.
McCoy had seven kills, while junior middle hitter
Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) and freshman right side hitter
Emily Ryder (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) contributed six.
Senior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) posted a match-high 30 assists, six digs, and a pair of aces. Sophomore outside hitter
Gracie Zartman (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown/St. Mary's) recorded a match-high 23 digs.
Marlee Johnson had eight kills and 10 digs for the Huskies. Hannah Robson added 17 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Lock Haven for a 1 p.m. match.
