SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –
Shepherd University (19-7, 8-4 PSAC East) downed Lock Haven (8-18, 4-8 PSAC East) in four sets in PSAC East volleyball action on Senior Day at the Butcher Center on Saturday afternoon. The Rams posted a 25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23 victory.
Freshman outside hitter
Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) had a match-high 16 kills to pace the Rams. Junior outside hitter
Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) added nine kills, while junior middle hitter/right side
Sophia Ryan (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) added seven kills, a match-high six blocks, and a pair of aces. Davis added a match-high four aces.
Senior setter
Macy Buso (Parker, Colorado/Chaparral) recorded a match-high 28 assists, six digs, and a pair of blocks. Sophomore outside hitter
Gracie Zartman (Leonardtown, Md./Leonardtown/St. Mary's) posted a match-high 28 digs.
Mardelyn Mitchell had 13 kills, while Natalie Acevedo and Payton Stanton each added nine for the Bald Eagles.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Kutztown for a 6 p.m. contest.
