NUTTER FORT, W.Va. – Redshirt-sophomore pitcher Daniel Quintana (Haymarket, Va./Paul VI/James Madison) scattered three hits in a 3-0 win in the nightcap to give Shepherd University (1-7) a split in baseball doubleheader action with Salem (1-4) at Frank Loria Field on Sunday. Salem gained a 2-1 win in game one. The nightcap win gave Shepherd head coach Andrew Kowalo his first career victory.

Rubendall later scored on a sacrifice fly by redshirt freshman outfielder Colin Ahart (Pennsauken, N.J./St. Joseph Academy).

The Rams added a run in the sixth as Rubendall led off with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly by senior third baseman Aidan Greaney (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll/Frederick Community College).
