SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (10-8) swept Indiana (Pa.) (2-9) in baseball doubleheader action at Fairfax Field on Monday. The Rams recorded a 3-0 win in game one and added a 4-0 victory in the nightcap. The Rams extended their win streak to seven games.
Shepherd took a 2-0 lead in the second inning in game one as senior third baseman
Aidan Greaney (New Windsor, Md./South Carroll/Frederick Community College) led off with a double and junior shortstop
Ethan Burgreen (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) followed with a bunt single. Greaney scored on a sacrifice fly by junior outfielder
Bodie Pullen (Winchester, Va./James Wood) and Burgreen later scored on a single by junior outfielder
Nik Rubendall (East Norriton, Pa./Pope John Paul II).
The Rams added a run in the fifth on a solo blast off the bat of Rubendall.

Jake Fix (Westlake, Ohio/St. Ignatius) each had a pair of hits to pace the Rams.

Aidan Vanvickle (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 K, 0 BB) earned the save (1). Jake Black (5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 6 K, 3 BB) (1-2) took the loss.
The Rams took a 1-0 lead in the first in the nightcap as Pullen singled and later scored on a double by Miles.
Shepherd added a pair of runs in the third on a solo homer by Pullen and an RBI-single by Greaney.
The Rams added in the sixth on an RBI-double from junior catcher
Austin Sofran (Swedesboro, N.J./St. Augustine Prep).
Pullen and Sofran each had two hits to lead the Rams.

Allen Miller (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon) (4.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 4 K, 0 BB) (2-1) picked up the win for the Rams. Bryce DeVan (3.1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 6 K, 1 BB) (0-2) took the loss.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Salem for a nine-inning game at 1 p.m.
