WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Shepherd University (18-19, 6-10 PSAC East) dropped a doubleheader to #14 West Chester (28-10, 10-7 PSAC East) in PSAC East baseball action at West Chester on Monday. Shepherd dropped an 8-3 decision in game one and came up short on a 6-5 score in extra innings in the nightcap.
West Chester took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a sacrifice fly from Ben Bolhouse and an RBI-single from Mark Elliott.

West Chester took a 4-3 lead in the fifth on an RBI-single from Szestowicki.
West Chester added four runs in the sixth with a two-run hit from Jake Welsch and a two-run homer by Szestowicki.

Shepherd took a 2-0 lead in the third when Pullen walked and later scored when he stole home.
West Chester took a 3-2 lead in the third behind a two-run double by Casey Vaughan double and a sacrifice fly from Gabe Caso.
The Golden Rams added a run in the fourth with an RBI ground out from Anthony Boccio.
The Rams took a 5-4 lead in the sixth with a two-run single from Ahart keying the rally.
West Chester tied the game in the seventh on an RBI-double from Vaughan.
Caso led off the eighth with a single and scored the game-winner on a single from Patrick Gozdan.
