SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (5-7, 2-3 PSAC East) dropped a 3-1 decision to #13 Bloomsburg (6-0-5, 2-0-3 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer at Shepherd on Saturday.
Bloomsburg took a 1-0 lead at the 2:10 mark with an unassisted goal by Connor Fiadino.
The Huskies took a 2-0 lead at the 6:44 mark when Zayd DeVeaux scored on an assist from Owen Peri.
Shepherd cut the lead to 2-1 when junior forward/middle Mac Long (Boonsboro, Md. Boonsboro/Hagerstown Community College) scored on an assist by sophomore forward Josh Petty (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll/Queens University of Charlotte) at the 46:11 mark.
Bloomsburg capped the scoring on a goal by Caleb Sitler on an assist from Kody Besser at the 75:25 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) posted one save for the Rams. Peter Punchello did not record a save for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg had a 5-4 edge in shots with a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal. Shepherd had an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Millersville for a 1 p.m. match.
