EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. –Shepherd University (5-9, 2-5 PSAC East) dropped a 3-2 decision to East Stroudsburg (8-5-2, 4-2-1 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
East Stroudsburg took a 1-0 lead with a tally by Nathan Bradway assisted by AJ Rivera at the 27:10 mark.
Shepherd tied the game 1-1 on a goal by sophomore forward Josh Petty (Bel Air, Md./John Carroll/Queens University of Charlotte) assisted by sophomore goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) at the 38:12 mark
The Rams took a 2-1 at the 49:12 with a goal by Petty assisted by forward/middle Mac Long (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro/Hagerstown Community College).
The Warriors tied the game 2-2 at the 54:25 mark on a goal by Jace Seara assisted by Ethan Flickinger.
East Stroudsburg capped the scoring at 3-2 at the 88:16 mark with a goal by Daryl Longdon assisted by Owen Rennie.
Sophomore goalkeeper Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) posted seven saves for the Rams. Phil Sykes recorded four saves for the Warriors.
East Stroudsburg had a 17-12 advantage in shots. The Warriors had a 10-6 edge in shots on goal. Corners were even at five each.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 1 p.m. match.
