Makle teamed with Mark Palmer to form one of the greatest one-two punches in WVIAC history. Finished his career ranked second on the all-time scoring list with 2,573 career points. In addition, he ranks among the all-time leaders in career scoring average (23.4), assists (214), and rebounding (307). Makle holds four of the top 13 single-season scoring averages in school history, and is the only player in school history to average more than 22 points in all four seasons. A three-time First Team WVIAC All-Star, Mackle set a WVIAC record by scoring 638 points as a freshman, a mark that still stands today.
