(MD) said, "She put her heart and soul into representing the college with class and pride during her four years as a student-athlete, and continues to be an affective ambassador for Shepherd."  Palmer's husband, Mark Palmer '85, a former Ram basketball standout, was inducted into the Shepherd Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997.  Barbara currently teaches 3rd grade at McGaheysville Elementary School in Rockingham County, Virginia.
