Larry G. Bolyard

Bolyard was a two-year standout for the Ram basketball and baseball teams from 1955-57.  He led the Rams on the hardcourt with a 17.4 scoring average and was second on the team in rebounding.  Bolyard was also a starting outfielder on the diamond for the Rams. He was named Shepherd's Most Outstanding Senior Athlete in 1957.  After graduating Bolyard went on to a successful career as a teacher and coach.  The majority of his career was spent at Potomac State College from 1964-99.  Bolyard served as a baseball coach, men's basketball coach, women's basketball coach, tennis coach, assistant football coach, and Director of Athletics over that span.  He was named professor emeritus at Potomac State in 1999 and gained induction into the school's Hall of Fame in 2004.
