Shepherd University Athletics

Excelled in football, earning NAIA All-America Honorable Mention honors from 1982 to 1984 when he was the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conferenc Offensive Player of the Year.  He is the career record holder at Shepherd for passing yardage (5295), completions (353), career completion percentage (.579) and total offensive yards (6107). His career completion percentage is the best among all WVIAC quarterbacks, his total offensive output is fourth best and his career passing yardage is sixth best in the WVIAC.
