Hall of Fame
Johnson was a four-year starter on the Shepherd football team from 1991-1994. He was a three-year First Team All-WVIAC choice, a member of three WVIAC title teams (1991, 1992, 1994), and participated on two NAIA Playoff teams (1991 and 1992). Johnson helped lead Shepherd to its first-ever postseason win when the Rams handed Carson-Newman a 6-3 loss in 1992. Johnson set the Shepherd all-time mark for interceptions with 29, and ranks second in that category today. His 22 kickoff returns and 549 kickoff return yards in 1992 remain Shepherd single season records.
