Hall of Fame
Boomer was a four-year starter for the Ram's basketball team, he etched his name into the record book as the program's 10th all-time leading scorer (1,403 points) and third all-time leading rebounder (1,039), while the team compiled a 103-21 record over the 124-game span. He served as the captain of the 1975-76 team that won the NCAA III Regional Championship, and established a new school record for most wins in a season with 33. He was a special honorable mention All-WVIAC selection as a freshman, and a three-year member of the Shepherd College Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team.
