Ritchie was a four-year standout for the men's soccer team from 2002-05. Ritchie led the Rams to a 50-23-9 (.664) mark over his career. A three-time first team All-WVIAC choice, Ritchie holds the Shepherd marks for most goals in a season (19, 2002), most goals in a career (50), most assists in a game (4, vs. Columbia Union, 9-25-05), most assists in a season (19, 2005), most assists in a career (31), most points in a season (43, 2002, 2005), and most points in a career (131). A two-time NSCAA All-Region selection, Ritchie led the Rams to its finest season ever with a 17-2-2 mark as WVIAC regular season champions and a final ranking of 22nd in 2005.  A standout in the classroom, Ritchie was named a McMurran Scholar – Shepherd's highest academic honor.
