Radcliffe was a three-sport athlete for the Rams, playing football, basketball and baseball from 1927-32.  He was a vital member of the infield for the varsity baseball team, and also assisted Coach John Newcome in coaching the squad as a player.  Radcliffe also served as the captain for the 1929 and 1932 seasons.  During 1927, 1928 and 1931, Radcliffe participated in football and basketball as well.  He served as president of both the Parthenian Literary Society and Theta Sigma Chi fraternity.  Upon graduation, he played professional baseball for several seasons.  He coached baseball for 13 years at Allegheny High School in Cumberland, MD, where he also served as principal and later director of transportation.  He has been active in the community as he was responsible for organizing the Cumberland High School Recreation League.  He retired as an administrator on June 30, 1973.
