Palmer teamed with Antoine Makle to form one of the greated one-two punches in WVIAC history. A three-time First Team WVIAC All-Star, Palmer garnered All-America recognition as well. Palmer ranks third on the all-time scoring list (2,427), first in rebounding (1,322), and fourth on the career scoring average charts (21.9). He is one of two players who averaved more than 21.9 points per game in three different seasons at Shepherd. Palmer tied the school record with four games of 20 points and 20 rebounds, and still holds the Shepherd career records for free throws made (620), and attempted (796), and highest field goal percentage (.587).
